The goal of this conference is to discuss surgical complications in a colleagial and supportive setting, review the most recent studies and data related to the clinical problem, so that we can learn from each other's complications, pool our knowledge and skill, and create new protocols and work flows that will reduce our patients' morbidity and mortality.
Objectives:
1. Improved confidence in the management of challenging surgical cases
2. Improved and timely identification of patients that require surgical intervention
3. Communicate more clearly with one another during sign-off to ensure appropriate responsibility for the follow up of pending tests and or operations/procedures to be performed.
4. Decreased morbidity and mortality for our surgical patients
