Session Objectives:
After participation in this activity, the learner will be able to:
1. Discuss the microbiology and pathophysiology of skin and soft-tissue infections.
2. Differentiate between relatively minor skin and soft tissue infections (SSTI's) from more serious skin
infections or necrotizing soft tissue infections (NSTI's)
3. Perform a bedside I&D for abscesses.
