SERIES EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

As a result of attending these presentations, participants will be better able to:

(1) identify and describe unique presentation of diseases in older adults; 

(2) distinguish disease states from normal aging;

(3) recognize and manage geriatric syndromes;

(4) update practice based on new guidelines in caring for older adults; and

(5) identify cultural/linguistic issues which may present barriers and/or opportunities in the care experience.
