SERIES EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

AS A RESULT OF ATTENDING THESE PRESENTATIONS, PARTICIPANTS WILL BE BETTER ABLE TO:

(1) DESCRIBE EVIDENCE BASED INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE APPROACHES TO MANAGING CHRONIC DISEASE AND COMMONLY USED COMPLEMENTARY HEALTH MODALITIES SUCH AS SUPPLEMENTS;

(2) APPROPRIATELY REFER PATIENTS FOR COMPLEMENTARY HEALTH SERVICES;

(3) ASSESS THE BENEFITS AND LIMITATIONS OF INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE APPROACHES TO HEALTH; AND

(4) IDENTIFY CULTURAL/LINGUISTIC ISSUES WHICH MAY PRESENT BARRIERS AND/OR OPPORTUNITIES IN THE CARE EXPERIENCE.
