Senior Surgical Care Program Board Case Conference

REGULARLY SCHEDULED SERIES

Every other Monday    12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

As a result of attending conferences in this series, attendees will be better able to: (1) recognize the geriatric vulnerabilities and considerations that may affect patients that should be addressed; (2) determine other avenues available for patients who may not be recommended for surgery by the Board; (3) consider the other optimization needs patients should undergo for comprehensive care and goal concordance; (4) utilize stronger partnerships with all the other disciplines involved in the holistic care of a patient and enable a better integration between disciplines in patient care; and (5) identify cultural/linguistic/implicit bias issues which may present barriers and/or opportunities in the care experience.
