Educational Objectives:

As a result of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. To recognize the radiographic and pathologic characteristics of pediatric neuro-oncologic conditions including the diversity of tumor types.
  1. To correlate the clinical presentation and specific tumor types with molecular biology, histology, and neuroanatomy.
  1. To formulate multidisciplinary management plans for the evaluation and treatment of specific tumor types based on best evidence/guidelines, historical data, and clinical experience.
  1. To identify toxicities and potential pitfalls in the diagnosis and treatment of specific tumor types associated with neurosurgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy; including psychosocial impacts and long-term sequela.
