Educational Objectives:
As a result of this session, participants will be able to:
- To recognize the radiographic and pathologic characteristics of pediatric neuro-oncologic conditions including the diversity of tumor types.
- To correlate the clinical presentation and specific tumor types with molecular biology, histology, and neuroanatomy.
- To formulate multidisciplinary management plans for the evaluation and treatment of specific tumor types based on best evidence/guidelines, historical data, and clinical experience.
- To identify toxicities and potential pitfalls in the diagnosis and treatment of specific tumor types associated with neurosurgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy; including psychosocial impacts and long-term sequela.
