- Business & Professions Code 2190.1(b)(AB 1195) generally requires that, whenever possible, all CME presentations must include information on cultural & linguistic differences that may affect patient care.
Are there disparities among different patient groups in care or outcomes?
- Yes. There is a challenge with undomiciled patients who have challenges to comply with post-operative treatment plans and followup. Whenever relevant we will discuss health disparities, cultural differences and language barriers specific to the case discussion.

- We directly address common assumptions that surgeons make about various populations/groups and discuss how to avoid these assumptions.
