Target Audience

Sports Medicine Physicians, Orthopedic Surgeons, PM&R physicians, Physician Assistants, Physical Therapists and Athletic Trainers

 

 

Learning Objectives

As a result of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  1. Incorporate risks and benefits of sports specialization with patients and parents.
  2. Diagnose physeal injuries unique to youth and adolescent athletes appropriately.
  3. Introduce prevention strategies for overuse injuries to patients and parents.
  4. Refer tendinopathies appropriately for interventions such as prolotherapy, physical therapy, tenotomy, and surgery.
  5. Begin to implement Return to Play Outcome Measures and screening tools.
