Target Audience
Sports Medicine Physicians, Orthopedic Surgeons, PM&R physicians, Physician Assistants, Physical Therapists and Athletic Trainers
Learning Objectives
As a result of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Incorporate risks and benefits of sports specialization with patients and parents.
- Diagnose physeal injuries unique to youth and adolescent athletes appropriately.
- Introduce prevention strategies for overuse injuries to patients and parents.
- Refer tendinopathies appropriately for interventions such as prolotherapy, physical therapy, tenotomy, and surgery.
- Begin to implement Return to Play Outcome Measures and screening tools.
