Faculty: Lynn Mortensen, MD and Maria Warnell, MPH. As a result of attending this presentation, participants will be better able to: (1) Consistently advice every patient identified as a current tobacco user in quitting; (2) Consistently encourage every patient willing to make a quit attempt to use the available Health Education behavior modifications programs; (3) Consistently encourage the use of tobacco cessation medications, including combination therapy where needed; (4) As a result of improving performance on above strategies, contribute to an overall increase in quit rates, and a decrease in prevalence of tobacco use across SRO membership.
