Faculty: Gary “Buz” Hermes, Consultant for Sonoma County Adult and Aging Services. As a result of attending this presentation, participants will be better able to: (1) describe the unique issues faced by our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) senior patients; (2) use evidence-based best practices in treating LGBT senior patients; and (3) help patients access resources that will empower them to grow older with greater confidence, comfort, dignity, purpose and joy. This conference will fulfill one hour of the legislated required hours for AB1820 geriatric medicine education.
