TPMG Appropriate Imaging for Chest Pain Webinar Series - Can We Match the Presenting Risk to the Test Offered? Should We?

Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 12:30 via WebEx

Kaiser Permanente is one of the few centers in the United States using routine treadmill testing as the first line agent for patients suspected of obstructive CAD. A goal of this webinar is to disseminate current knowledge of treadmill testing in relation to pre-test probability and the tests’ sensitivity and specificity to eventually match the risk of the patient with the appropriate test offered.

Series Objectives: As a result of this series, participants will be able to:

  • Decrease usage of inappropriate myocardial perfusion scans.
  • Increase usage and availability of alternative chest pain tests including Stress Echo and CT Angiography.
  • Improve the quality and efficiency of cardiac imaging tests at your medical center, especially Stress Echo and CT Angiography.
  • Educate other physician colleagues (ED, Primary Care, and HBS) who order cardiac imaging tests as to which test is most appropriate for each patient.
