Title: Human Factors and Learning from Error
Speaker: Mark Horowitz, Rph, Fraud Control, Tamara Neiman, Director, National Investigations Unit
Objectives:
1. Identify "Drug Seeking Behavior" flags to deter prescription drug diversion
and abuse, including predilection of ethnicity, societal economic levels, and culture.
2. Distinguish between drug seeking patients from legitimate patients seeking medical care.
3. Apply tools and resources available in Health Connect that can be used in
the evaluation of medication profiles including the Controlled Substance
Utilization profiles including the (C.U.R.E.S.) in the reduction of
pharmaceutical drug diversion.
