Pediatricians and family practice physicians who see children, specialists and other interested clinicians within their scope of practice where applicable.

Learning Objectives

As a result of this session, participants will be able to:

1. Participants will have knowledge of trends in pesticide use and exposure in families living in California agricultural communities

2. Participants will understand results of research examining associations between prenatal pesticide exposure and neurodevelopment and behavior in children.

3. Participants will be aware of new methods to assess brain function in children (fNIRS).

4. Participants will understand results of research examining associations between pesticide exposure and respiratory health in children.

5. Participants will recognize challenges in conducting environmental health studies in human populations.
