As a result of attending this program, participants will be better able to:
Refer patients seeking scoliosis surgery appropriately and provide accurate expectations.
Choose the best surgical approach for lytic spondy patients, based on patient outcomes and latest evidence.
Identify barriers to performing lumbar interbody fusion anteriorly.
Choose the best surgical approach for cervical surgery based on the case presentation and outcomes associated.
Identify and treat cervical deformity patients, incorporating cervical sagittal parameters.
Identify patients who would benefit from endoscopic spine surgery and refer appropriately.
Identify and treat patients with degenerative changes of the spine using appropriate percutaneous fluoroscopic guided procedures.
Use signs, symptoms, physical exam, and radiologic findings to optimize the success of spine interventions and order the appropriate work up prior to the intervention.
Diagnose and treat patients with back/buttock pain, incorporating knowledge of the innervation of the lumbosacral spine and SI joint.
