Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS) - January 2020
This is a live 2-day team-based simulation course at the Sacramento State Simulation Center.
Hospital Based Specialists, Emergency and Surgery that provide in patient hospital care. This also includes critical nurses, respiratory therapists and critical care residents.
- Recognize any patient at high risk for morbidity/mortality early to prevent deterioration.
- Appropriately evaluate critically ill patients and interventions needed.
- Stabilize patients using guidelines and evidence-based care.
- Implement effective team leadership to provide an appropriate treatment plan, including communication, consultation, monitoring and transfer to appropriate level of care as needed.
- Manage patients in the ICU, including but not limited to ventilator management, sepsis and hemodynamic monitoring.
