Common Pediatric Foot & Ankle Disorders: A Pediatrician’s Guide

We wish to optimize the care of our pediatric patients by coordinating an hour long presentation on the topic of common foot and ankle disorders for this younger demographic. We have had many new hires in NSA and this presentation will help to optimize coordinated & efficient care for our members
Our desire is to optimize patient referrals, patient care outcomes and member patient satisfaction by discussing opportunities for collaboration with our Pediatrician and Podiatry Colleagues
We will provide practice recommendations on the most common pediatric pathology including, but not limited to:
1. Sever's Calcaneal Apophysitis
2. Onychodystrophy and onychomycosis
3. Juvenile bunions, hammertoes and cross over toe deformity
4. Salter Harris Fracture Patterns
5. Warts
6. Retained foreign bodies

Increase knowledge of treatment of foot and ankle disorders utilizing new recommendations.
Recommend referrals to the Podiatry department as needed.
