NSA 04/08/2020 KP NSA Communication Tools for COVID 19
Since the rise in patient's diagnosed with COVID-19 physicians are performing more telemedicine appointments. With the increase in telemedicine appointments many physicians need learning new tips and skills to enhance their communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues. 77% of all New visits are being managed initially by telemedicine. Across sites, we see 37 – 63% increases in weekly telemedicine volumes. This course will review communication tips for Video Visits and Telephone Appointments. We will provide our members the excellent care they deserve while keeping all of us as safe as possible during this time of COVID-19 through virtual medicine.
Target Audience
All staff physicians and providers involved in patient care

1. Learn new skills in applying the 4 Habits model to virtual medicine appointments
2. Incorporate empathy into virtual medicine appointments
3. Practice at least one self-care tool provided during the program
