NSA 10/22/19 TPMG Providers COM Skills VJO Actor’s Workshop (8:30 AM-12:30 PM)
The goal of this 4-hour total, class is to increase the provider's level of comfort with end of life discussions, code status and general bad news giving. Also, to increase awareness of effective communication skills when seeing chronic pain patients. Give an organized approach to difficult patient interactions involving chronic pain medications through better communication. Learning the 4 Habits approach allows the physician to help the patient prepare and then process the information just given to them while strengthening the bond between provider and patient. Better communication results in increased trust between provider and patient which will lead to better compliance and clinical outcomes.
