Desired Practice: We know though that empathy is key in creating therapeutic relationships with our patients. By teaching providers how to show empathy, they will have better interactions with their patients which will lead to improvements in treatment adherence as well as patient and provider satisfaction.

After this activity, providers will be able to use empathy in clinical interactions. They will learn how to identify opportunities to provide empathy as well as provide empathic statements to patients.
