Desired Practice:

Our goal is to enhance the providers' knowledge of evidence-based medicine, to review information on advances and techniques that impact surgery, in the context of meeting hospital goals and initiatives such as Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) - 75% adherence in elective cases, 65% in emergent cases, National Surgical Quality Improvement Program® (NSQIP) data - top 75%, and Member Patient Satisfaction (MPS) scores- to meet the regional average. This ongoing Continuing Medical Education (CME) event will continue to educate surgeons and provide new data which may prompt changes in management and adoption of best practices for optimal patient outcomes and more efficient care. We expect our providers to apply this new-found knowledge to their practice.
