Session Objectives:

  • Improve utility of appropriate procedural interventions for acute stroke.
  • Improve distinction of stroke from non-stroke causes of acute mental status change and focal neurologic deficits.

A goal of this activity is to improve accuracy of diagnosis and management decisions of providers when dealing with patients who present with neurologic conditions, including stroke, multiple sclerosis, encephalitis, migraine, myelopathy, and radiculopathy. This will be accomplished monthly through patient case reviews of neurologic disorders in which reviewing the radiologic imaging is key to obtaining the correct diagnosis and management for each patient. Bringing together neurologists and radiologists to discuss these cases will improve the ability of clinicians to distinguish the key radiologic findings of these neurologic conditions that can produce similar symptoms.

The speaker and planning committee have no financial relationships to disclose.
