NSA 2020 ORTHOPEDIC RADIOLOGY ROUNDS
DESCRIPTION:
Review of Orthopedic cases, and review of relevant radiographs and MRI studies to enhance management of the different orthopedic conditions and stresses the importance of collaboration between orthopedics and radiology. Cases will be chosen where there are specific areas to discuss based on learning needs, to share best practices in the management of specific cases, and in other situations to share areas of care that could have resulted in complications or adverse effects that the group can learn from.
OBJECTIVES:
1. Improve the departmental and facility Quality, Safety and Performance Improvement Goals by providing educational events that address practice gaps.
2. Improve cultural and linguistic competence of practitioners and reduce disparities in health care delivery.
3. Utilize new and emerging medical concepts and therapies to improve patient care.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
Orthopedic Surgeons, Radiologists, and other physicians including Trauma Surgeons, Family Practitioners and Residents, and Physician Assistants interested in treatment of fracture patients.
