SERIES OBJECTIVES:
  1. Incorporate best practices and  current clinical practice guidelines in the management of the hospitalized patient.
  2. Where clear guidelines exist, use a standardized approach to patient care.
  3. Be cognizant of the effects of language, racial, socioeconomic, religious  barriers to care and individualize care to match patient’s unique needs.
  4. Identify and resolve system inefficiencies  in the care of the hospitalized patient
  5. Develop  clinical skills and expertise through mentoring of colleagues  and group discussions pertaining to hospital medicine.
