SERIES OBJECTIVES:

1) Gain insight into their role in a challenging encounter and how to improve the outcome.
2) Communicate with consideration of the patient's point of view.
3) Utilize effective communication tools in challenging encounters.
4) Utilize effective practices that decrease compassion fatigue.
5) Promote collegiality between all physicians (primary care and specialists).
6) Constructively discuss challenging encounters with colleagues.

CME credit will be granted to participants who attend the conference and complete the evaluation survey.

Nurses may report  1  hour participation toward the continuing education requirements for license renewal by the California Board of Registered Nurses.
