TARGET AUDIENCE:  

Physicians, NPs and PAs - Neurosurgeons, Orthopedic Surgeons, Radiologists, PMR

SERIES OBJECTIVES:

As a result of this CME activity, participants should be better able to:

1) Incorporate literature review to determine evidence-based best practice in spine care.
2) Evaluate spine cases from a multidisciplinary perspective and achieve consensus formulating treatment plans.
3) In case review format, present surgical cases with good and bad outcomes to provide interactive discussions with an emphasis on reducing care disparities related to diversity of patients - age, ethnic background, etc.
4) Review mechanisms, stabilization, repair and rehabilitation of spinal injuries secondary to trauma.
5) Consider culture, language and health literacy in all patient - provider communications.
