TARGET AUDIENCE:

Physicians, NPs, PAs - Pediatrics 

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

As a result of this CME activity, participants should be better able to:

1) Practice appropriate steps to triage, stabilize, and transport pediatric patients presenting to outpatient setting and subsequently requiring further care in emergency department or hospital setting. 

2) Recognize common cases, which may include an acute asthma exacerbation, an infant with croup or bronchiolitis, a neonate with late onset sepsis vs NAT, a new diabetic and/or DKA.

3) Accurately allow time for some dialog, team building, and questions.

SERIES OBJECTIVES:

1) Associate current literature, standards, therapies, and treatments to the management and care of in-hospital and critical pediatric patients.
2) Utilize best practices identified in conference discussions in caring for pediatric inpatients.
3) Integrate information on appropriate diagnostic measures in the management of pediatric patients.
