TARGET AUDIENCE:

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:  

As a result of this session, participants should be better able to:

1)  Identify Ig A vasculitis using clinical criteria, and differentiate from other similarly presenting diagnoses.
2) Recognize typical course of illness for patients with IgA vasculitis.
3) Delineate treatment and long term follow up for patients with IgA vasculitis.
 4) Appropriately refer patients to nephrology or rheumatology for complications of Ig A vasculitis.
SERIES OBJECTIVES:

1) Associate current literature, standards, therapies, and treatments to the management and care of in-hospital and critical pediatric patients.
2) Utilize best practices identified in conference discussions in caring for pediatric inpatients.
3) Integrate information on appropriate diagnostic measures in the management of pediatric patients.
