SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
As a result of this CME activity, participants should be better able to:
- Review Thyroid Hormone physiology and thyroid physical exam
- Review Thyroid Function laboratory tests and what can affect their values.
- Recognize the evaluation and management of Acquired Hypothyroidism
- Recognize the evaluation and management Congenital hypothyroidism
- Recognize evaluation and symptoms and management of Hyperthyroidism
- Recognize evaluation and management of Goiter
- Recognize evaluation and management of Thyroid mass
SERIES OBJECTIVES:
1) Associate current literature, standards, therapies, and treatments to the management and care of in-hospital and critical pediatric patients.
2) Utilize best practices identified in conference discussions in caring for pediatric inpatients.
3) Integrate information on appropriate diagnostic measures in the management of pediatric patients.
