SERIES OBJECTIVES:

As a result of this CME activity, participants should be better able to:

  1. Read and review medical imaging studies related to surgical medicine.
  2. Compare and contrast treatment alternatives and appropriately apply them to the management of their surgical patients.
  3. Evaluate care and treatment administered in case presentations and translate recommendations to clinical practice to comply with quality standards.
  4. Identify and address issues of language, culture, and health literacy in all patient-provider communications, including implicit bias.
