Desired Practice:

 

Through Continuing Medical Education (CME) events, the OB/GYN department shall implement best practices based on KP and National guidelines, protocols, recommendations, and data. These activities will help prevent errors due to the lack of competency in medical knowledge. We desire to meet appropriate metrics all while providing excellent patient care. Continuous improvement in the topics of breastfeeding, use of anticoagulation in appropriate patients, referrals to specialties, tapering of opioids for pregnant patients, as well as nutrition in pregnancy will result in better patient care.


Objectives:

  1. Appropriately treat patients based on clinical scenario
  2. Increase patient satisfaction
  3. Integrate best practices from guidelines
