Session Objectives:

  1. Recognize the recent changes in opioid monitoring and stewardship 
  2. Outline approaches to opioid monitoring and addressing red flags 
  3. Identify the recent and upcoming regulatory changes impacting opioid management 
  4. Define key steps when there is a member displaying threatening behavior 


This CME will provide an overview of opioid prescribing best practices and address recent changes enacted at the end of last year including the resources available to support providers. We will also review the opioid escalation process, the opioid dashboard, and GSJA's success so far on this important work. Lastly this CME will provide information on new changes regarding both cannabis and buprenorphine.
