What is the Mission Statement for the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, Redwood City, CME Program?

The Continuing Medical Education (CME) program at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, Redwood City provides Category I CME educational programs to physicians and other providers, in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the California Medical Association’s (CMA/ACCME) Accreditation Program.

Outcomes are developed and monitored for each activity.  The expected results of our CME program are to improve the professional practice strategies of our learners. Each activity will be assessed to find out if learners intend to make changes and/or have made changes to incorporate what was learned into their professional practice. This will be demonstrated by the information gathered in our evaluations.  For some activities we will administer post-activity questionnaires to assess if changes were implemented. When available, objective, measurable clinical indicators and/or patient outcome data will be analyzed for any changes or improvement.

The committee shall maintain records of educational activities (including individual participation), and submit an annual report to the Medical Executive Committee (MEC) of such activities.
