TOPICS: Cataract Surgery Outcomes

Educational Objectives: By the end of the activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Review current literature in Ophthalmology and related fields to narrow the gap between what is in the literature and our daily practice.
  2. Change practice patterns that are not consistent with current standards of care.
  3. Promote interdisciplinary learning between general Ophthalmologists and subspecialists (Cornea, Retina, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Oculoplastic, Glaucoma, Pediatrics).
  4. Possible language barriers in some patient encounters will be discussed and addressed along with cultural and or linguistic competency as appropriate.
