TOPIC: Hocus POCUS: We Finally Got the Ultrasound Probes Part 2

Educational Objectives: By the end of the activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Discuss clinical guidelines for appropriate care in HBS.
  2. Integrate appropriate cultural/linguistic and implicit bias factors/techniques to deliver quality in inpatient setting.
  3. Utilize current best practices as it applies to inpatient setting.
  4. Apply communication techniques with patients, families and colleagues.
  5. Meet appropriate organizational quality goals and improve our quality outcomes.

  1. Identify common anatomical structures using POCUS (point of care ultrasound) at the bedside, to answer specific clinical questions and guide clinical decision-making.
  2. Use the new ultrasound device/iPad interface to augment HBS procedures.
