Session Objectives:

  • Manage complicated colorectal patients which require multiple disciplines to operate together
  • Reach a consensus among expert opinions when treating these patients
  • Improve the quality of care with patient with complex colorectal conditions
  • Expedite care and avoid unnecessary delay
  • Appropriately provide and execute treatment plan for colorectal surgery patients.
  • Communicate effectively with colorectal specialist at other sites.
  • Standardize best practices.


Without the conference, patients will not benefit from a multidisciplinary approach to their complex disease
-May not benefit from all possible treatment options
-May need to see multiple specialists at different times to get all the information and evaluation
-May have to have some unnecessary visits, tests and these will delay their care
