SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
As a result of this CME session, participants should be better able to:
1) Identify Kaiser Permanente’s Chronic Pain Management Model.
2) Differentiate between active vs passive treatments of pain.
3) Recognize the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Chronic Pain (CBT-CP) Model.
4) Differentiate between pain and suffering.
5) Identify the benefit of setting goals in the context of pain management.
6) Apply pacing skills into pain management regimen.
7) Recognize the importance of sleep in the context of chronic pain management.
