TARGET AUDIENCE:  

Physicians, NPs and PAs - Primary Care

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:  

As a result of this CME session, participants should be better able to:

  1. Review National KP BCS Guidelines
  2. Describe newer breast cancer screening modalities - Tomosynthesis, Breast MRI, and Screening Whole Breast US
  3. Describe an approach to patients with high genetic or familiar risk for breast cancer or with dense breast tissue
  4. Review workflow for patients diagnosed with breast cancer
  5. Review Breast Cancer Survivorship resources
  6. Describe diet/lifestyle measures which may reduce breast cancer risk
SERIES OBJECTIVES:
  1. Apply evidence-based clinical practice guidelines in areas of cardiovascular health, cancer screening, and general primary care.
  2. Assess clinical performance in areas of cardiovascular health, cancer screening, and general primary care.
  3. Analyze clinical performance data to help improve patient care.
  4. Identify ethnic/racial and socioeconomic disparities in primary care, including implicit bias, and describe strategies to address these in clinical practice.
