SERIES OBJECTIVES:
  1. Recognize the ethics of medical decision making and the potential for conflict to arise and complicate medical decision making.
  2. Identify what constitutes an ethical dilemma, when to call an Ethics consultation and what to expect from the referral.
  3. Improve skills in communicating with patients/families/coworkers about sensitive issues that create conflict.  
  4. Identify and address issues of language, culture, health literacy, and implicit bias in all patient-provider communications.
