SERIES OBJECTIVES:

By the end of this CME activity, participants should be better able to:

  1. Manage both common and complex surgical problems and integrate new surgical techniques into surgical practice in order to improve experience in a broad variety of general surgery cases, recognizing unusual cases and complications due to the multidisciplinary experience.
  2. Identify root causes of morbidity and mortality and take measures to minimize them.
  3. Recognize CT and conventional Xray imaging of common and unusual general surgery conditions.
  4. Identify and address culture, health literacy, language, and implicit bias, in caring for patients and provide resources to address concerns.
