SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:  

As a result of this CME activity, participants should be better able to:

1. Identify the frequency of the difficult airway.
2. Describe the factors, anatomically and otherwise, that lead to a difficult airway.
3. Review the literature for preferred methods and instruments to address the difficult airway.
4. Describe the considerations that should be made for extubating the difficult airway.
 
SERIES OBJECTIVES:
  1. Implement evidence based anesthetic medical techniques into their practice.
  2. Utilize the latest and most up-to-date medical information regarding local, regional  and national anesthetic management guidelines.
  3. Consider the importance of language, culture and health literacy in all patient-provider communications, including implicit bias.
