Content:

There is a lack of standardization to patient messages in the Podiatry department.  As a result, there is inconsistent patient communication. We want to standardize our communication to patients, particularly with patient email responses.


Target Audience: 

Surgeons in Podiatry, Physician Assistants, Medical Assistants, Nurses in Orthopedics, and OR.


Learning Objectives: As a result of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Apply standard workflow to common podiatry complaints. 
  2. Learning risk stratification for geriatric patients. 
  3. Apply evidence based and consensus-based best practices for the diagnosis and managing of podiatry conditions to maximize quality and minimize variation in practice.

Cultural and Linguistic Competency:

Geriatric patients are at higher risk for morbidity and mortality.  Special consideration will be given to this patient population before recommending surgery.
